Are you ready to undertake the most exciting and challenging experience of your life? There are a few easy requirements that must be met before you can take to the skies.
The Federal Aviation Administration requires you to:
be at least 16 years old to solo an aircraft (you can start training at any age).
be at least 17 years old to apply for a private pilot license.
pass a routine medical exam. Allowances may be made for many physical limitations.
have the ability to read, speak, and understand English.
Students must be able to prove citizenship. US citizens are required to provide proof of citizenship by a birth certificate with photo ID or valid US Passport. This documentation must be provided prior to the first flight.
International students must complete a Transportation Security Administration background check. Please check with the school for details.
